What We Do

Our Mission

Specializing in aviation from the beginning of the First World War to the end of the golden age, Early Days Biplanes aims to preserve and illuminate the feats of yesteryear’s pilots and aeroplanes. This we intend to do by taking photographs, writing articles, collecting books and magazines, and displaying it all on our media platforms for you to see and share the same passion we have for these special pilots and flying machines! Protecting and appreciating the aviators and flying machines of our yesteryears is our chief goal at Early Days Biplanes, with a focus on machines and pilots from the birth of powered flight through the golden age of aviation. With this project, we intend to spread this appreciation and awareness of our foreflyers amongst the aviation community and ensure the feats and skill of these magnificent aviators is never forgotten.

Other goals of ours:

  • Spread awareness of the accomplishments and feats of yesteryear’s pilots

  • Instill a sense of duty and pride in today’s pilots to refine their flying skill as much as possible

  • Preach that you can do more with less in the cockpit of an airplane!

  • Teach the modern generation of pilots their history and heritage. Strive to know who your predecessors were!

  • Remind pilots to fly for the experience, not the hours!

  • Most importantly: HAVE FUN WITH AIRPLANES! Aviation should not be a race to the airlines!
